DIRECTOR, ANIMATOR AND FILMMAKER
Mondo cut his teeth as a freelance animator, producing digital art, animation and video/motion graphics for Glasgow's local nightclub and music businesses. That led to the establishment of one of Glasgow's early 3D Animation houses, Anemotion Ltd. Producing a variety work for clients such as BBC, Endemol, Channel 4, The Comedy Unit, Virtual Mirrors, The British Council and Graven Images.
A desire to focus on animation led to a ten-year stint at Rockstar North, where he would become Animation Director. One of the key architects of their global animation pipeline Mondo led a global production effort on multi-million selling titles such as GTA San Andreas, GTA IV, LA Noire, Red Dead Redemption, Max Payne 2 and GTA V; supervising many hours of animated cinematics from script to launch.
In 2012, Mondo looked toward new storytelling challenges in writing & directing and sought to broaden his understanding of the developments in CG methods outside of game development.
His short 'Spamorama' nominated for best animation at the Norwich Film Festival.
Short script 'Fossils' a winner in 2016's Impact:50 competition.
Mondo's latest short 'Ouija Sex' recently completed, has been selected for 4 international festivals, with many more scheduled for submission.
